Jamaal Charles says Broncos might as well release him; Would you take him back in KC?

There’s a situation playing out in Denver. The Broncos are not good this season and have just five wins on the season. They have ended the season with five or fewer wins just once since 1982. They’re not used to all this losing.

There is one unhappy Broncos player and this is usually the place where we might poke a little fun at our division rival. However, that Broncos player is an important one to us — Jamaal Charles.

Jamaal hasn’t been playing in Denver — no carries in the past two weeks — and it’s obvious he’s not part of their plans.

I ain’t playing. Might as well (release me),” Charles said Tuesday. “No reason for me to just sit around and look at people play. It is what it is. I’m still going to be supportive of everyone on the team no matter what. I mean, they got my rights right now.”

Charles said he talked to his representatives about looking into his options for the remainder of this season and beyond.

We’ll file this under never-gonna-happen but: Would you take Jamaal Charles back today?

I’ll be honest, I would think about it. Realistically I don’t see it happening and I’m not exactly clamoring for it to happen but I’ve seen worse fairy tale endings than a guy like Jamaal coming home and winning a title.
