Was it a catch? The Kansas City Chiefs have a catch controversy on their hands after a play in Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. Chiefs QB Alex Smith hit WR Tyreek Hill for what looked like an amazing touchdown catch in the corner of the end zone.
The refs, however, ruled it was NOT a catch. Chiefs coach Andy Reid threw his challenge flag and the refs went to look at it. They couldn’t overturn it.
In #MIAvsKC, the receiver had control of the football but there was no definitive angle to determine if his first foot is in bounds. Therefore, the call on the field stands as an incomplete pass. -AL

What I was struck by was that there wasn’t a good camera angle that showed Tyreek’s left foot hitting in bounds first. I think it was probably in bounds ... but there was no definitive angle.
It’s funny (sort of) that someone in the crowd had a better angle of this catch than CBS with the video above.
