Did you know the Kansas City Chiefs have never won the AFC West title in back to back years? NEVER! I can’t believe that but it’s true and we’re on the verge of snapping that streak as the Chiefs can clinch the AFC West title and a spot in the playoffs by beating the Dolphins today. They can also clinch a playoff spot if they lose. Things are looking good for the Chiefs and the postseason.
How the Chiefs can clinch a playoff spot
1. Chiefs beat the Dolphins OR
3. Chiefs tie and Chargers tie
So, the Chiefs could lose and still clinch. The Chargers and Jets game is at the same time as the Chiefs and Dolphins game on Sunday, which is 12 p.m. (Arrowhead Time).
The Chiefs are huge 10-point favorites over the Dolphins this weekend. That is a big line but the Chiefs also lost the last two times they were 10-point favorites — at the Giants and vs. the Bills earlier this season.
The Chargers are 7-point road favorites over the Jets, who are not as bad as you think! But they don’t have Josh McCown this week, whom the Chiefs made look like Tom Brady a few weeks ago. I’m not sure the Jets keep it that close without McCown.
