My No. 1 worry heading into the Chargers-Chiefs game — besides Philip Rivers having all day to throw — was the Chargers pass rushing duo of Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa. I worried that those two would wreck this game for Alex Smith and the Chiefs. Those two combined for four sacks in the Chiefs-Chargers Week 3 game.
Turns out, they didn’t wreck the game. The Chiefs offensive line stepped up and had a really good day overall (other than a couple of penalties) that allowed them to put up 30 points on the Chargers.
Alex Smith was only pressured on seven drops today (57.4 rating). When kept clean he had a 131.5 rating @PFF #ChiefsKingdom

Alex Smith’s stats when not pressured continue to be terrific: 20/23 for 198 yards and two TDs.
The @Chiefs OTs balled out tonight vs Bosa and Ingram. Proud of you @MitchSchwartz72!

PFF credited Mitch Schwartz with one quarterback hurry in the game. Schwartz has now gone 11 consecutive games without allowing a sack. Geoff might get his wish and see his brother, Mitch, selected All-Pro this year.
