Chiefs list 3 players questionable, Chargers say Casey Hayward is questionable

The Kansas City Chiefs will be without Mitch Morse Saturday night when they host the Los Angeles Chargers. Morse has been ruled out of the Chargers game which will be the second consecutive game he’s missed. Morse should be replaced by Zach Fulton at center. Fulton is a pretty good backup but he’s just that: a backup. The Chiefs aren’t at full strength on the line when they really need it.

The Chargers injury report has CB Casey Hayward as questionable, which would be a huge injury if he couldn’t go. The Chargers are hopeful that he can, however. The Chiefs will keep an eye on this because Hayward is one of the top corners in the NFL right now.

As for the rest of the Chiefs injury report, they list three players questionable: LB Tamba Hali, S Eric Murray and LB Kevin Pierre-Louis.

The Chiefs need Tamba to play because the Chiefs pass rush has to be as good as it was last week when they sacked Derek Carr three times. Philip Rivers is on a hot streak and the Chiefs absolutely have to get him off his spot.

The next name that jumps out is Murray. The Chiefs called up rookie Leon McQuay from the practice squad after Steven Terrell, who was replacing Murray last week, went on IR.

As for KPL, he rotates with DJ so it’s not as dire that he play this week but long term they need someone there to give DJ a breather.
