The Kansas City Chiefs will wear the fan-friendly all-red uniforms for Saturday night’s home game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Arrowhead Pride has learned.
This will be the second time the Chiefs have worn the red-on-red uniforms this season, the first as part of the NFL’s color rush initiative on Thursday Night Football away against the Oakland Raiders.
Saturday night will mark the first time the team wears the all-red look at Arrowhead Stadium since Week 14 of last year, also a Thursday Night Football game against the Raiders.
Chiefs safety Eric Berry, who was placed on the injured reserve list when he ruptured his Achilles Week 1 against the New England Patriots, has historically been a strong supporter of the red-on-red look.
With Berry being around the team more during the past week, it makes you wonder how he could play a role in any pregame festivities.
