Former KC Chiefs GM John Dorsey is now in Cleveland and it’s starting off with a bang. Dorsey joined the Browns flagship radio station to talk about taking the GM job and he was very honest when talking about the previous regime in Cleveland.
"You know what? You've got to get a guy like that (Hue Jackson) players,'' Dorsey told the "Really Big Show'' with Aaron Goldhammer on WKNR 850, the home of the Browns today. "And you know what? I'll come straight out with it. The guys who were here before, that system, they didn't get real players.''
Whoa! I didn’t expect to hear that but I think Dorsey was just being honest. It’s hard to argue with what he’s saying because the Browns have one win the past two years. I mean, they are really bad.
The Browns former GM, Sashi Brown, wasn’t a lifelong football guy. He wasn’t a scout. He is a lawyer. I’m not surprised that the ultimate football guy, Dorsey, may not see eye to eye on with them on personnel.
Another tidbit Dorsey gave up from his time in KC: They had Browns QB DeShone Kizer ranked the fourth QB in the draft last year.
