The Kansas City Chiefs saw a great pass and catch between Alex Smith and Albert Wilson. The pass was down the left sideline for 36 yards and Wilson made an outstanding catch on it.

Albert Wilson is only 5’9 so you don’t think of him as a down the field guy making contested catches but he did a terrific job pulling that one in. Not just making the catch but also keeping his feet in and completing the catch.
What I really loved about this play is that Wilson was blanketed by the Raiders cornerback and Alex went down the field to him anyway. If it’s single coverage, you really need to think about going down field because you can either make the catch or catch a pass interference penalty on the defense. Good decision going deep and great catch from Wilson.
