Q: Kareem Hunt played about 53% of the snaps in the game yesterday. What are some of the factors that go into deciding how you rotate those running backs?

CHILDRESS: “Some have to do with protection. Some have to do with freshness between him and Charcandrick (West). Some guys take a better look at plays than others. They’ve all got their little niche that we try to fit them into.”

Alex Smith has Kansas City Chiefs among AFC favorites at midseason | ESPN

Midseason MVP: The Chiefs would be lost without quarterback Alex Smith, who is on pace to set personal single-season bests for, among other things, touchdown passes and yardage. The Chiefs have surrounded Smith with the best supporting cast he’s had since arriving in Kansas City in 2013, and Smith has responded by playing so well that he’s not only the Chiefs’ MVP, but a strong candidate for the league-wide award. Running back Kareem Hunt and linebacker Justin Houston would be worthy candidates if Smith wasn’t so far ahead of the field.

The play was Kareem Hunt’s 78-yard touchdown catch. It had Tyreek Hill coming in motion, faking the give to him to draw the safety in and then throwing it to Hunt down the middle.

“KC ran it the first game of the season,” Goff said via The MMQB. “That was straight from them. But you saw how well it fit what we do. They’ve got players like we have.”

But Stephanie says her dream job quickly became a nightmare. She has time cards, proving the hours she worked. But getting paid, has been another matter.
