This leaves the Chiefs with two active tight ends. They usually go with three tight ends in a game. The Chiefs have yet to announce a corresponding move. If they don’t announce a free agent signing by Wednesday’s practice, it could be a sign that they’re going with someone from the practice squad. The Chiefs do have a tight end on the practice squad, Orson Charles.
Travis was the Chiefs third tight end. He wasn’t a major player on offense but the Chiefs do run with three tight ends occasionally.
