The first step to seeing if Darrelle Revis can play this weekend against the Buffalo Bills will come on Thursday when the Chiefs practice. The first question Chiefs coach Andy Reid was asked after news of the Revis signing broke was whether he could play this Sunday against the Bills.
“We’re going to just see where he’s at,” Reid said. “He’ll get out and move around a little bit, just see where he’s at. I told him the same thing, that there’s no hurry. He’s a veteran guy, he looks like he’s in good shape, which he says he is. So he’s been moving around and working out. We’ll see. Let’s just see where he’s at.”
I’m reading this as Andy Reid leaving the door open for him to play. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does play. Revis talked about being too heavy weight-wise last year and that he learned his lesson so you would think he’s in pretty good shape as Andy Reid says.
He’ll be wearing No. 24 for the Chiefs. Do you expect to see him on Sunday?
