The KC Star’s Terez Paylor reiterated on 610 Sports this morning that at some point on Wednesday the KC Chiefs plan was to activate Tamba Hali from the PUP list and practice him. Both Terez and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday that Tamba was coming back and Terez even said he saw Tamba at the Chiefs facility on Wednesday.
And then ... nothing. The Chiefs didn’t make a move. I haven’t seen the official transaction from the league. Andy Reid said he didn’t know what was going on. Something changed, Terez says.
I don’t know what’s going on either but with this action lately it feels like something is coming to a head ... but what is that something?
There’s one thing about this that really stands out to me and it’s something that Andy Reid said on Wednesday when talking to the media.
Reid was asked about the Tamba situation and he said that this is between GM Brett Veach, Tamba and Tamba’s reps. This kicks off a few questions I have:
- Why mention Tamba’s reps?
- I was under the impression he was on the PUP for health reasons so wouldn’t this be about whether or not he’s healthy?
- Is Tamba healthy?
