The Kansas City Chiefs ran a shovel pass to Travis Kelce so often earlier this year that it became a thing. We all joked about it and it was fun because the shovel pass worked.
They would often fake the sweep to Tyreek Hill and have Kelce coming along behind him and slyly throw the shovel pass to Kelce up the middle of the field.
Suddenly it’s not working. The Chiefs tried their unstoppable play against the Giants and it went for a fat guy interception.

That play looked a lot like the Chiefs have in the past five weeks: not good.
