Is a Chiefs win against the Giants by a small margin enough?

One of the most interesting tweets sent in to the Arrowhead Pride Podcast this week came from PrideHead Lou (@LouMcGopher). It was:

Currently the Chiefs sit as 11-point favorites. Our answers:

Pete Sweeney: “I think definitely. If that happens, yes.”

Joel Thorman: “This could absolutely be one of those games where the Chiefs win, move to 7-3 and the fans are feeling almost like they did after the Broncos game, and there’s not going to be any game this season that can really slow that down because even if you run the table, 7-0, you were supposed to beat all these teams—you were the Vegas favorite in all these games.”

Pete: “You’re right, because the only game you were worried about was perhaps the Bills, and now that they’re starting a guy that has no previous time or experience (Nathan Peterman), now you expect to win that game too, so even a perfect record, unless you’re dominating, you’re not going to have a ton of confidence going into the playoffs.”

Shawn Barber: “Don’t worry about the score. Don't worry about the winning margin. Let’s focus—if the rushing yards are over 150, the passing over 250, if the Chiefs win the turnover margin, then the time of possession, if that’s plus-5 minutes for the Chiefs, don’t even worry about the score. That’s winning football, we move on to the next week to the Buffalo Bills.”
