Kansas City Chiefs lead the way with 3 players on top 25 under 25 list

The Kansas City Chiefs had three players on ESPN’s list of the 25 best players under 25 years old: CB Marcus Peters, RB Kareem Hunt and WR Tyreek Hill.

The Chiefs were the only team with three players listed.

Peters (24 years old) was third on the list behind Joey Bosa and Carson Wentz. That’s fair. Cornerback is a premium position and he’s the best at his age but so is pass rusher and quarterback.

Hunt (22) was ranked 14th and Tyreek (23) was 15th. In terms of impact, I would probably put Tyreek ahead of Hunt because he has made the Chiefs offense so explosive in the past two seasons. No one would have imagined either would start their career off so well but Tyreek is the bigger surprise.

I saw this list and thought of Travis Kelce for a minute but he’s already 28 years old having come in the league in 2013. Chiefs DE Chris Jones is only 23 years old but there’s some stiff competition on the list. For example, neither Marcus Mariota nor Jameis Winston made the list.
