It looks like officials from the city of Kansas City, the KC Sports Commission and the Chiefs are out to sell the NFL on Kansas City a host city for a future NFL Draft.
The city manager sent this tweet out today.
Early morning flight @KCIAirport with @SportKC and @Chiefs to sell @NFL on holding 2019 or 2020 #NFLDraft in #KansasCity!

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has talked about Kansas City as a host site before so this isn’t coming out of nowhere. We knew the Chiefs have wanted to do this.
Whether or not they’ll be successful is another story. The NFL always seems to be about maximizing everything and the Chiefs are not in the biggest media market. Kansas City is not like the list of cities to host the draft recently: New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and Dallas (2018 draft).
It sure sounds like the NFL is motivated to move this around to various cities. I’m not sure if it will be in 2019 or 2020 but it would be cool to see it in Kansas City.
