Chiefs post-bye week injury updates coming today

The Kansas City Chiefs are back to it today. They’ll be on the practice field this afternoon to prepare for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

This also means we’ll be getting some injury updates from Chiefs we haven’t heard from all week. Andy Reid is scheduled to talk to the media a little before noon today so watch for updates.

The first one we’re looking for is DE Allen Bailey who was said to have an MCL sprain after the Cowboys game. We don’t know if he’ll have any shot of practicing this week.

Another one is LB Dee Ford who has been out multiple weeks with a back injury. Andy Reid’s most recent update a couple weeks ago was that he was getting tests on his back. Not a good sign. Tamba Hali is back now but the Chiefs could use that pass rush depth.

Finally, there’s WR Albert Wilson who has become more important with other receiver injuries. He missed the Cowboys game with a hamstring injury so the Chiefs are hoping he can return against the Giants even if just in limited fashion.

There aren’t any other significant injuries. LB Justin Houston has been limited lately but still playing. The two interior linemen that were hurt (G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, C Mitch Morse) are both back.
