The Kansas City Chiefs have another player of the week. Kicker Harrison Butker has been named the AFC special teams players of the week after his five field goal performance against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.

Because he’s just a kicker (I kid, Harrison), it’s easy to overlook his contributions but let’s go back in time. Cairo Santos is hurt and we all think the Chiefs need to sign a replacement for just a few weeks until Santos is better. After all, the Chiefs like Santos and have a few years of time invested in him.
Instead, the Chiefs cut Santos days after signing Butker and all Butker has done since then is hit 18 straight field goals after missing his first attempt in Week 4.
This is the second game in his short NFL career that he’s hit five field goals in a game. And he was essentially available for anyone to sign being on the Panthers practice squad before the Chiefs plucked him.
In Dave Toub I Trust.
