Chiefs’ Chris Conley is done for the year

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Houston Texans on Sunday night but it wasn’t all good news. WR Chris Conley has been lost for the season with an Achilles injury.

The replays showed what looked clearly like an Achilles popping. Conley was recovering an onside kick and without contact from someone else he went down. The replays zoomed right in on his leg and showed it.

Achilles tears are season-ending injuries, as Chiefs fans know. It’s the same injury that Derrick Johnson had last year and the same one that Eric Berry had earlier this year.

Conley is not a big producer with a lot of stats but he plays almost every snap for the Chiefs on offense (other receivers don’t). I’m guessing the Chiefs will have Demarcus Robinson and perhaps Jehu Chesson seeing more time on offense.
