The Kansas City Chiefs have ruled out three players and everyone else should be ready to roll. The Chiefs said that C Mitch Morse, LB Dee Ford and G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif will not play in Sunday night’s game against the Texans.
None of these are a surprise but two of these are offensive linemen going up against one of the top defensive lines in the league. The Chiefs line is going to struggle on Sunday night, plain and simple. Andy Reid will try to scheme around it but we’ve seen this before.
Alex Smith popped up on the injury report this week with an ankle. He was a full participant all week so it doesn’t sound like a big concern but in a game like this when we expect Alex to be running from pressure it’s something to monitor.
This is Ford’s second missed game so I’m starting to wonder what’s going on here. Is this just a multi-week thing or something more? It’s called a back injury on the injury report. I don’t know of any more information.
