Kansas City Chiefs' Cornerback Marcus Peters Is A Paradox | KCUR

“I’m riding around and looking for a fancy vehicle or some sort. Something that would scream, ‘A Chiefs player’s here!’” recalls Allen. “Lo and behold, it wasn’t what I thought. He slipped in under the radar in a pretty beat-up used car that didn’t scream, ‘Hey, a Chiefs player is driving this!’”

His low-key approach contradicts the Marcus Peters who once told his high school assistant principal he’d like to be a TV commentator after his football career.

Chiefs release C.J. Spiller for fourth time | The Kansas City Star

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Monday that West will likely practice this week and is expected to play in their next game, a showdown against Denver on Monday Night Football on Oct. 30.

Releasing Jamaal Charles was necessary move by Kansas City Chiefs | ESPN

In a perfect world, Charles would be finishing his incredible career with the Chiefs. At the least, he should be concluding it while with an NFC team far from Kansas City, and he wouldn’t be playing against his former team.

Chiefs pass out candy to juvenile diabetes patients with a purpose | FOX 4 Kansas City WDAF-TV | News, Weather, Sports

One week from now Arrowhead Stadium will be filled with fans hungry for a win on Monday Night Football versus the Denver Broncos. Monday night it was just filled with kids hungry for some candy.

But while many children will be counting how many more candy bars they got than their friends, some children at the event were counting their carbs. Halloween can be a difficult time of year for children with diabetes. For Katie Newman, 11, the amount of candy most children consume on Halloween could be fatal if she doesn't follow the proper steps.

Chiefs hopeful CB Steven Nelson ready to return vs Broncos in Week 8 | Chiefs Digest

Nelson’s return could come a week earlier than expected due to NFL procedural rules. Players placed on injured reserve cannot be activated until eight weeks pass from the time the club placed them on the reserve list. The Chiefs placed Nelson on injured reserve Sept. 3. The eight-week deadline passes on Oct. 29.
