KC Chiefs sign CJ Spiller, again

Don’t call it a comeback x 4 !

The Chiefs’ version of trick candles is on his way back to the team with the status of Charcandrick West undetermined, according to Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star.

If you’re keeping track, our man CJ Spiller has had quite the transaction history this year alone:

Start of training camp: Spiller on roster.
9/2/2017: Spiller released at the 53-man roster cut.
9/3/2017: Spiller signed.
9/7/2017: Spiller released.
9/9/2017: Spiller signed.
9/16/2017: Spiller released with the simultaneous elevation of Akeem Hunt.
10/16/2017: Party time again.

This move makes a lot of sense with West having suffered a concussion against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon. I’m no concussion expert but I feel that he probably won’t be ready to play Thursday against the Oakland Raiders.

Even though Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said Kareem Hunt and Akeem Hunt would be your 1-2, that leaves room for a third back, and it will be Spiller who knows the playbook and the system.
