It must be that type of season. The Kansas City Chiefs did lose on Sunday to the Pittsburgh Steelers but it didn’t really affect their AFC West standings as the Denver Broncos lost to the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football and the Oakland Raiders lost to split last place with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chiefs have a two-game lead in the AFC West after six weeks. Find all NFL standings here.
The Chiefs dropped their first game of the season to the Steelers, who are now 4-2. That could come into play for AFC playoff seeding purposes or for potential Wild Card purposes if the Chiefs continue to lose.
The Broncos lost a shocker on Sunday night to the Giants. I do a weekly spot on 610 Sports and, since we all already lost our survivor pool, we chose who we think will definitely lose this week. A couple of us chose the Giants. Oops! Good for the Chiefs though.
I told you before the games began that you should pick the Chargers over the Raiders. I’m not sure if Derek Carr isn’t completely healthy or what. The Chargers beat the Raiders — in Oakland! — 17-16. I would say something here about how awful the Raiders look but I also remember saying how awful the Steelers looked last week against the Jaguars. The Raiders are preparing for their Super Bowl on Thursday night.
As for the Chargers, they are not a good team but I would put them up against any other last place team in the NFL.
