Chiefs’ Tyreek Hill does not have concussion; Will he play in Oakland?

One small bit of good news for the Chiefs: Tyreek Hill does not have a concussion.

Tyreek was hit hard on a punt return that had the chance of sparking the Chiefs offense late in the game after he returned it to the 44-yard line. Unfortunately, he was knocked out of the game with that hit and the drive floundered and they lost the game to the Steelers, 19-13.

Tyreek was hit hard enough that the suspicion was he had a concussion but it turns out that he does not have one, NBC’s Mike Florio reported before Sunday Night Football.

The hope then is that he can play this Thursday against the Raiders. Last week, Travis Kelce didn’t advance in the concussion protocol until Thursday so there’s a real and likely chance that Tyreek wouldn’t be playing this Thursday in Oakland if he did have one.

The Chiefs get right back to the practice field this week where we’ll get further updates on Tyreek and Charcandrick West, who was also being evaluated for a concussion.
