The Kansas City Chiefs called up WR Marcus Kemp from the practice squad after WR Chris Conley was formally placed on IR with his Achilles rupture.
When the Chiefs didn’t quickly make a move for an outside receiver, it was a good bet they were going to bring someone up from the practice squad and the 6’4, 210-pound Kemp gets the call. I figured it was between him and WR Gehrig Dieter for the promotion.

Kemp was with the Chiefs this offseason and flashed in training camp and preseason, especially with the deep ball. He has nice size and most importantly some familiarity with the Chiefs offense. He’s 22 and has six career catches to his name — all in the preseason.I really doubt he’s going to have a big impact in this game if he plays at all.
The Chiefs also said that WR Albert Wilson has been downgraded to questionable. That’s concerning when you see that happen a day before the game so maybe Kemp does play in this game.
