Chiefs, Steelers will both be motivated on Sunday

We’ve talked this week about whether or not this is a rivalry game or a revenge game with the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Pittsburgh Steelers 10 months after the Steelers beat the Chiefs in the AFC Divisional round at Arrowhead.

The Steelers said this week it feels like a divisional game because they’ve played so often over the past few years (four times in three years). Our own Pete Sweeney was at the Chiefs fashion show this week and Chris Jones confirmed that there’s a little something extra for the Steelers.

Chris Jones is in his second year so the biggest game of his career was that playoff game at Arrowhead last year. I can see why that would leave a bad taste in his mouth.

The Chiefs are going to be motivated to beat the Steelers and avenge the last few losses against Pittsburgh. The Steelers, for their part, are going to be motivated to prove last week’s beatdown at the hands of the Jaguars was a fluke.
