SB Nation’s NFL odds page tracks six outlets for odds each week. One of them hasn’t posted yet, one of them has the Steelers as a 1.5-point favorite and four others have the Chiefs as a 1.5-point favorite.
That’s ... interesting. And likely to change quite a bit this week.
Before I saw the odds, I was on record saying to a friend (which means I could be making this up) that the Chiefs would be favorites but by fewer than three points. I was correct, kinda.
The Steelers were massive 12-plus point favorites against the Dolphins last Sunday and won big. I didn’t see anything in that game that would stop bettors from continuing with their Pittsburgh momentum. The Steelers looked really good.
Of course, you have to consider the reality that the Steelers aren’t as good on the road as they are at home. We’ll get into those details more this week but suffice to say the Steelers won’t be beating the Chiefs by four touchdowns again.
