Chris Ballard and Dave Toub made sense as a package deal but it reportedly won’t come to that. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ballard, the Colts new GM, intends to keep Colts coach Chuck Pagano in place, which means Toub presumably stays in Kansas City for the 2017 season.
A presser today, but Colts GM Chris Ballard intends to keep HC Chuck Pagano for 2017, then re-evaluate for 2018, per league sources.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Toub goes there or gets another head coaching job next year. He’s not going to have a BAD special teams year with Tyreek Hill, right? The star is going to grow even brighter. I bet he does well, too.
For 2017, this is great news for the Chiefs. Maybe bad news for Toub but great news for the Chiefs, who will once again need special teams to win in 2018 (the comments section will take the quarterback debate from here).
