Pro Bowl: Andy Reid perfectly predicts Alex Smith’s checkdown touchdown pass

Andy Reid called his shot in the 2017 Pro Bowl and nailed it. ESPN was talking with Chiefs coach and Pro Bowl Andy Reid while he had the headset on during the game. Reid called a play for his quarterback Alex Smith and then told ESPN that this one was going to score.

Reid: We’re gonna get one right here.

Announcer: Yeah, what do you got for us on this play?

Reid: We got a little all-go for you, four verticals. The back on a nice little option route on his checkdown.

It’s funny that it was on a checkdown. Also, kind of fitting for Alex Smith. He scored the touchdown but you need to get in that checkdown #narrative.

Alex ended the game 6/8 for 74 yards and a touchdown.
