Dadi Nicolas is done for the year (ruptured patellar tendon) but the Chiefs will have everyone else on the roster ready for the playoffs, including Justin Houston and Spencer Ware who missed last week’s game.
Former d-line coach Tommy Brasher, who now does “special projects”, has been advance scouting the Chiefs possible opponents in the Divisional round.
The players have the week off. Andy Reid said he got that from Mike Holmgren when he was on his staff. “It’s important they step back here a little bit,” Reid said.
On Dave Toub: “Special teams coaches are a unique breed. They probably don’t get enough credit for what they deal with. They deal with the media, the offensive side, the defensive side, special teams players that make your team, they have to deal with the whole gamut there.”
More on Dave Toub: “I’m all for it. Some of the teams that are talking to them are the ones we play but it’s one of those deals.”
On Toub being ready to be a head coach: “I thought he had a pretty good chance of getting that Chicago job. He had been there, done a great job for him. They wanted to go in a different direction but I thought he would’ve been perfect for that job.”
Andy Reid says that Tyreek Hill's meteoric rise to where he's at now is comparable to a young DeSean Jackson when he was at Philadelphia.

Reid on T.Hill: Every week we’ve had a package. Moved him around. He’s averaged 38 snaps. Try to give him something different every week.
