Chris Conley’s concussion evaluation under investigation, per report

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the handling of Chiefs WR Chris Conley’s concussion (or lack thereof) is being reviewed by the NFLPA.

Go back to the Steelers game and Conley was stretching out to make a catch on the goal line. He was drilled by a Steelers player, who was flagged and fined for the hit.

Conley did look out of it right after the hit. Concussion is what all of us thought. Chiefs trainers came out and helped him off the field.

Conley then later came back into the game after apparently being cleared.

PFT is reporting that the NFLPA is looking at that concussion evaluation during the game.

I talked with Conley after the game and I didn’t get the impression he wasn’t of sound mind. I know that doesn’t mean there was or wasn’t a concussion; symptoms can come later.

“They checked me out but it was mostly a hit to my back and my ribs, not my head,” Conley said.

He also said he would never complain about being hit. “It’s football.”
