If Falcons beat Patriots, Chiefs will have beaten Super Bowl winner 3 straight years

Before this season the Kansas City Chiefs had a reputation for not beating any good teams. This stat should take some of the shine off of that rep:

The Chiefs have beaten the eventual Super Bowl winner in the regular season in back to back years.

An Atlanta Falcons win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 51 would make it three straight years.

In 2014, the Chiefs beat the Seahawks and Patriots, who were both repped in the Super Bowl that year. That was the year the Seahawks won. The Chiefs beat them, 24-20.

In 2015, the Chiefs beat the Broncos in Denver - you know, that game where Peyton Manning was benched - and the Broncos went on to win the Super Bowl that year.

This year, the Chiefs beat the Falcons with the Eric Berry pick-two (and pick-six).If Atlanta beats New England in Super Bowl 51, we make this streak three straight years.

Here are the Chiefs 2017 opponents. Is the 2018 Super Bowl winner on this list?
