There's a cost to telling an NFL referee his call was horse shit and he couldn't work at a foot locker. That cost is $12,500, Chiefs TE Travis Kelce learned.
#Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has been fined $12,500 for his postgame comments, a source confirms. Also fined $9,115 for unnecessary roughness.

The other fine came from when he was flagged for unnecessary roughness for pushing a Steelers player to the ground after the whistle. It's hard to defend either one of the transgressions. The push was out of line and hurt the team in a big playoff game, not to mention Kelce’s own drop in that game. The comments made him look like a sore loser.
Part of what makes Kelce so fun to watch is the passion he plays with. That's also what can make him so frustrating.
