I’ll say this for Travis Kelce: This means something to him

There’s a dirty little secret about the NFL. Not all the players care about this as much as you do. It’s a job to some players. They make a lot of money and sometimes a loss like this is harder on you than on them (well, emotionally, at least) because they don’t have 20-plus years of playoff misery attached to it. That’s not true for all players but for some.

Travis Kelce, though, he cares. Should Kelce have said the ref shouldn’t work at a f—-ing Foot Locker? Should he have said he should never wear a zebra shirt again? Or that the refs took the game from the Chiefs? Or the personal foul?

No, he should not have. He will get fined and he gave all his critics some easy material. It makes him look like a sore loser.

That said ... the dude gives a shit. He cares more than anyone. Watch his eyes in this video. He’s getting emotional. This means something to him. He shouldn’t have said all that but this was a little glimpse into how much this means to him.
