Chiefs’ Dave Toub thinks Steelers will kick away from Tyreek Hill

Kicking away from Tyreek Hill would be a very smart move but that’s easier said than done. It’s not easy to kick it out of bounds and not shank it. That’s the dilemma the Steelers will find themselves in when they face the Chiefs on Sunday night.

Chiefs special teams coach Dave Toub was asked when teams would stop kicking to Tyreek Hill. He thinks it happens this week.

“Now, I think it’s probably going to happen this week,” Toub said via quotes from the Chiefs. “They’re going to try and kick it out of bounds. It’s easier said than done though, we went through the same thing in Chicago with Devin (Hester). The weather has a lot to do with it, what kind of pressure you put on the punter, all of those things come into play without getting into more detail.”

The Steelers put a couple of kickoffs out of bounds but Tyreek generally doesn’t return kicks, only punts. It’s hard to kick it out of bounds on a punt and not lose a lot of yardage. I’ll be curious to see how successful they are if they try that.
