The Chiefs are 7-point favorites (as of now) over the Chargers, which is the second biggest line of the week behind the Dolphins-Seahawks game. The Chiefs odds of winning are high despite Jamaal Charles potentially not playing and Justin Houston definitely not playing. Being a favorite of this size despite missing two of your best players speaks to the depth the Chiefs have created on this roster.
We’re picking the Chiefs to win - 27-20. The Chiefs are the better team but they will be tested by Philip Rivers and their receiving weapons in Keenan Allen, Antonio Gates and Travis Benjamin. The Chiefs young corners need to play a good game and they need some sort of pass rush from Tamba Hali and Dee Ford.
It is the 15-year anniversary of 9/11 so the Chiefs will be honoring first responders as well as having a flyover and “The Leap Frogs” parachuting into the stadium courtesy of the United States Navy.
