The Kansas City Chiefs first injury report of the season is in. The Chiefs say that Jamaal Charles was limited in practice although Andy Reid has given hints that Jamaal is unlikely to play as he continues to come back from his ACL tear last October. So don’t expect Jamaal to play.
The Chiefs also say that Tamba Hali is expected to play despite being limited. Tamba is an older player so based on what we saw last year I would expect him to be limited often. They’re going to keep him on a pitch count of sorts to make sure he’s as effective as he can be on each snap.
The others are ones that should play. Phillip Gaines tore his ACL the week before Jamaal but he’s also much younger so perhaps that explains why he’s ready and Jamaal is not.
