Bovada released odds on various players and their stats in the 2016 season, including Jeremy Maclin of the Kansas City Chiefs. Let’s take a peek and see if we would take the over or the under on these.
Receiving Yards: 1,000
I’m actually going to go UNDER here. He had 1,088 last year. Maclin has played all 16 games twice in his seven-year career so I wouldn’t be shocked if he missed a game or two. Additionally, the Chiefs have more weapons this year. Jamaal Charles is back. Chris Conley is getting better. There are more mouths to feed, which means fewer yards for Maclin. What really matters is how effective he is with the yards that he does get because at 1,088 yards last year it felt like Maclin was a 2,000-yard receiver the way he changed the Chiefs offense.
Receiving Touchdowns: Six
Ignoring my logic above, I’ll go OVER here. Maclin has 18 touchdowns in the past two seasons. The Chiefs offense is going to be better this year and score more points. I can see 7-8 touchdowns from him even with a dip in production.
