The Kansas City Chiefs 53-man roster isn’t so final. They have claimed two players off of waivers, according to multiple reports.
Chiefs claim ILB Sam Barrington (Packers) and OT Bryan Witzmann (Cowboys). Jets claim TE Brian Parker. All others clear waivers.

This means that the Chiefs have two more cuts coming to make room for these guys.
Barrington is a 6’1, 240-pound inside linebacker entering his fourth season. With 20-plus career games, Barrington gives the Chiefs inside linebackers more experience as Justin March and Ramik Wilson have little experience.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs also claimed Witzmann from the Cowboys, who are deep along the offensive line. He’s in his first season out of South Dakota State. It appears he is an offensive tackle so this could be the Chiefs swing tackle that we thought they might be looking for.
Parker, meanwhile, was claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs last year. He was their fifth tight end that didn’t make the roster.
The Chiefs practice squad is still to come.
