The Kansas City Chiefs will announce their injury report later this afternoon and we’re all waiting to see what it says. Here are a few questions I have:
Did Marcus Peters practice?
He was out on Wednesday and Thursday with the flu. Even if he doesn’t practice today, he could still play on Sunday. But it would obviously be better if he got some practice in this week.
Will Phillip Gaines be questionable?
The Chiefs corner tweaked his knee last week and popped up on the injury report this week. He missed Thursday’s practice, which is (potentially) concerning. Steven Nelson is a decent backup for his spot on the outside but then the dominos begin with the Chiefs needing to replace Nelson in the nickel and so on.
What is Jamaal Charles’s status?
He was doubtful last week. There has been more and more optimism this week that he could be ready. Listening him as questionable won’t answer much for us as we still wouldn’t know. Listing him as doubtful or probable would tell us a lot more.
