The decision on Jamaal Charles has yet to be made. KC Chiefs coach Andy Reid met with the media on Wednesday for Pittsburgh Steelers week and he said there is a chance that Jamaal plays this week but didn’t commit to anything. He will practice on Wednesday, which is a good sign. No problem with making the Steelers prepare for Jamaal. Here’s to hoping this is the week...
Meanwhile, the Chiefs Wednesday injury updates:
CB Marcus Peters has the flu and did not practice. Assuming this isn’t some crazy form of the flu, you gotta think he’ll be good this weekend with some rest.
LB Tamba Hali won’t practice. This is part of the plan with him where he gets plenty of rest. The Chiefs are slowly amping up his snaps.
RB Charcandrick West won’t practice with an ankle sprain. If Jamaal Charles can’t play, this is one to watch. The Chiefs will need him. Knile Davis would be there if not. The Chiefs also have Darrin Reaves on the practice squad.
OT Jah Reid was out last week with an ankle injury. He remains out of practice. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif should hopefully be good for Sunday night (he dressed last week but didn’t play) so the Chiefs should have an extra guard if they need it.
