Marcus Peters has been named the AFC defensive player of the week for nabbing his 12th and 13th career interceptions last Sunday against Ryan Fitzpatrick and the New York Jets.
That marks the third career two-interception game for Peters, who leads the NFL in interceptions since the start of the 2015 season.
Peters has back to back games of two picks. He didn’t win the AFC defensive player o the week for his picks against the Houston Texans two weeks ago likely because the Chiefs lost. Against the Jets, the Chiefs were able to pull it out with ease, 24-3.
This marks the second career AFC defensive player of the week award for Peters, who got one last December for a two-interception game against the Baltimore Ravens.
