UPDATE: The Chiefs say Jamaal is DOUBTFUL which means he likely won’t play. There goes that.
The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t shut the door on Jamaal Charles playing this week so there’s still a shot. Andy Reid suggested earlier in the week that a longer wait for Jamaal would be good but on Friday he left the door open for him to play.
Jamaal Charles "had a good week," according to Andy Reid, who stated that he'll talk with @proatc before making a designation for Sunday.

Reporters on the scene say Reid said, “I think he feels like he can do it.”
We’ll see. The Chiefs injury designations will be out later but I would imagine Jamaal to be listed as questionable. Reid said earlier this week that Jamaal is chomping at the bit to play and that he wants to play this week. I really don’t know which way they’re going with this. The Chiefs have seen the success of Spencer Ware the past couple of weeks so I imagine there is extreme caution going on here knowing that you have that ace in the hole. On the flip side, you want to get Jamaal back on the field because he’s one of your best players.
I’ll expect to see you all Sunday morning huddled around the computer waiting for the final decision just like me.
(Attention fantasy users: If you’re here because you want to know if you should start Jamaal on your fantasy team this weekend, I wouldn’t. If he is active, there’s no way the Chiefs are giving him 15-20 touches in his first game back. He’ll work his way back up to that point.)
