Get your Chiefs ponchos out. It’s looking like Sunday’s game against the New York Jets will be a rain game. Meteorologist Erin Little said on KMBC this morning that the rain is supposed to start on Saturday night and continue into Sunday when the Chiefs play the Jets at 3:25 p.m. (yes, that’s Arrowhead Time).
This says a 70 percent chance of rain on Sunday.

It seems like the rain would affect plenty. The quarterbacks gripping the ball. The receivers making the catch. The pass rushers getting off the snap. The linemen trying to block them. Or maybe it’s none of that. These rain games never seem to go the way I think they will.
The best rain game in recent memory is the Monday nighter against San Diego in 2010. There was that one against the Seahawks in the 1990s I believe (I can’t track down the exact date right now). Which other great rain games am I forgetting? (Someone mentioned last year’s Chargers game. Forgot that one)
