Linebacker Andy Mulumba was a minor surprise cut for the Kansas City Chiefs and so is safety Jeron Johnson. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo is reporting that Chiefs safety Johnson has been cut.
Chiefs are cutting veteran S Jeron Johnson, source said.

He was signed after camp started but he was a veteran in the league having spent four years with the Seattle Seahawks. There was a thought that his experience in a very young secondary would make him a roster candidate. Apparently not.
The Chiefs have four safeties we think they’ll keep: Eric Berry, Ron Parker, Eric Murray and Daniel Sorensen. Who out of that group would you cut to make room for Johnson?
