The only thing surprising about Marcus Cooper not being a Kansas City Chief is that he was traded and not cut. Cooper is a good player who will be in the league for a while but his time in Kansas City had come to an end so the Chiefs traded him to Arizona where he played for the Cardinals on Sunday.
What did he do on Sunday? Oh just two picks and a touchdown.
A day before Vikings traded for Sam Bradford on 9/3, Cards picked up CB Marcus Cooper via trade w Chiefs. Cooper w 2 INTs & 60-yd TD Sunday

Also, a fight with Jameis Winston.

No, the Chiefs didn’t make a mistake. The Cardinals destroyed the Bucs and Cooper was part of it. Cooper is one of a few players the Chiefs cut that ended up on other teams. This is the part where I say Cooper is a sign of the Chiefs depth but KC just put up 12 points against a team they beat by 30 earlier this year so I’ll save that for later.
