The Kansas City Chiefs had only six healthy offensive linemen on the roster with starting guards Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Parker Ehinger ruled out so they cut defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches from the 53-man roster in order to make room for guard Jordan Devey from the practice squad.

We knew there was a good chance the Chiefs would need to call up someone from the practice squad with injuries to both of those guards. Andy Reid said he’s gone into a game with just six healthy offensive linemen before but he doesn’t like to do it. This will give the Chiefs seven linemen.
The Chiefs like Nunes-Roches so they’re hoping he won’t get claimed off of the waiver wire but it’s certainly a risk. They’re deep along the defensive line so he may not have been active for this game anyway.
