The Kansas City Chiefs will list Jamaal Charles as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. This is what we expected as the Chiefs continue to play him on the scout team as he recovers from last year’s torn ACL. The Chiefs are being very cautious with Jamaal, which is OK when you have a guy like Spencer Ware putting up 200 yards of offense in relief. It will be the Ware and Charcandrick West show on Sunday once again.

The Chiefs also say that starting guards Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Parker Ehinger will not play. LDT is dealing with a high ankle sprain and sometimes those take several weeks to overcome. He must not have been close to being ready if they already ruled him out. The Chiefs have also been as cautious as anyone with concussions these days so I’m not surprised to see Ehinger ruled out. They will likely be replaced by Zach Fulton and Jah Reid, who are both experienced.

The Chiefs say that Sam Barrington, injured in Week 1, will not play with a hamstring injury. Tamba Hali, who was limited this week, will play. Spencer Ware was on the injury report earlier with a sprained toe but he will play.
