The Kansas City Chiefs go on the road to Houston to face the Texans for the third time in the last year. The Chiefs beat the Texans in Week 1 last year and in the AFC Wild Card playoff game where KC claimed ownership of the entire city of Houston in a 30-0 blowout.

The Chiefs will be without Justin Houston and potentially without Jamaal Charles. They were without them last week and completed a 21-point comeback to beat the San Diego Chargers in overtime. Alex Smith was hot in the second half and will be looking to carry that momentum into this game along with Spencer Ware who put up nearly 200 yards of offense against San Diego.

JJ Watt will play despite an offseason of surgeries. He should be fired up after the last game where Chiefs LT Eric Fisher beat him so bad he contemplated retirement. (Hi, Texans fans.) The Texans have DeAndre Hopkins still but also added Will Fuller and Lamar Miller to make for a potentially explosive Texans offense. Brock Osweiler will be protected by former Chiefs guard Jeff Allen.

The Chiefs are the underdogs in this game. It’s only a 2.5-point line though so the odds experts expect it to be a close game and so do I. I have the Chiefs winning, 24-20.
