Jeremy Maclin misses practice, Chiefs starting guards remain out

Jeremy Maclin missed practice on Thursday but don’t freak out. The Kansas City Chiefs have deemed it for personal reasons and he is still expected to play on Sunday against the Houston Texans. Good luck to Maclin on whatever he’s dealing with.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs two starting guards remain out. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is dealing with a high ankle sprain. Andy Reid said that Zach Fulton would be the next man up if LDT can’t go. On the other side, rookie Parker Ehinger suffered a concussion in practice so he was out on Thursday as well. If he can’t go, it would likely be Jah Reid.

Sam Barrington, the linebacker claimed off waivers from the Packers, remains out with a hamstring injury. If he doesn’t get any practice on Friday then you can probably rule him out.

In good news, Spencer Ware was a full participant in practice after missing earlier in the week with a sprained toe. He’ll be good on Sunday.

Tamba Hali was limited but the Chiefs indicated they would be managing his reps all year long so expect him to be ready. Jamaal Charles was also limited. There’s no decision on him yet but it sounds like he’s likely to sit again this week.

The Chiefs will be making official decisions on these injured players this afternoon.
